Making artwork for motorcycle events and activities is something I’ve always had a lot of fun doing.  My love for the sport is something I cant ignore and whenever I get the opportunity to create something for an event it makes me feel even more connected to all the participants that enjoy motorcycles as much or more then I do.

For the past 6 years I’ve had the opportunity to create apparel, merchandise and marketing art for the Annual Stumpjumpers event, The Desert 100! This year was my greatest involvement with the club in an effort to maker this years 50th Anniversary something extra special.  To say that the cancellation of this years event due to the Pandemic situation is unfortunate doesn’t even begin to describe how heartbroken all of the planners and organizers are over the countless hours we have all put into the preparations.  Here’s my poster art for this year as well as a few things from prior years.

If you’ve never been – The Desert 100 is a 4 day motorcycle festival in the desert terrain of Eastern Washington just outside the small town of Odessa.   A sea of motorhomes, trailers, tents and RV’s create a small city in which all the inhabitants ride motorcycles!   There are multiple activities throughout the weekend including a poker run with family and ironman skill level loops, a dualsport ride, a kids race and of course the 100 mile race on Sunday.

This event is something that my family and many others look forward to every spring! Dirt bike lovers of all ages come together and their is an amazing interaction with like minded people.  I always participate with a booth on vendor row where I offer custom printed limited edition posters as well as a special run of merchandise that I create just for the event.   I make my living creating things and selling them to people, so this year is a tough pill to swallow, knowing that I can’t make it happen.   I’m sincerely grateful for all the support I’ve received from everyone that has purchased some of my items in previous years.

This year I wanted to create something for all the kids (I use that term loosely since many of the adults are essentially children at heart).  So I created a coloring book using various illustrations from the previous 6 years of events that I’ve been involved in as well as a few other illustrations from various other motorcycle events and projects.   I thought it would be a good way to promote all of my sponsors and clients and with their contributions for the printing I could give them away to the kids.

The good news is – My sponsors did help with the printing and I got it off to print before all of this crisis started and I have them ready to send out to all my dirtbike friends and family that are stuck at home looking for things to do!

You can either purchase 5 packs through my store, or you can also download the entire book and print out the pages you want to color!
